Our next meeting is Tuesday October 28th at 7:30 at Brick Township municipal hall. Make sure your club sends a delegate, we have lots of important issues to discuss and we need everyones input.

It is elections season around the country and here at JCAA. The nominating committee, headed by Don Marantz will be looking for interested folks who are willing to help run this organization. The committee will announce it’s nominations at the November meeting, nominations will also be accepted from the floor. The election will be held at the December meeting. The elected offices are;

Things are moving along for next years Fluke Tournament. The new fluke director, Mark Marquez and the committee have been hard at work and have some good sponsors on board already. Unfortunately, Mark will not be able to stay on as tournament director, he has a job opportunity that will take him and his fiancée out of state. We wish Mark the best of luck in his new endeavor. So, once again we are looking for a tournament director to coordinate next years event.

I enjoyed a beautiful day at the beach, chatted with lots of friendly folks, and had the honor of presenting some of the many prizes given out at this years Governors Cup Surf Tournament. This event just gets better every year. This year 1,261 anglers competed for the "Governor’s Cup" and the many assorted prizes, but with the great weather and good fishing no one went home a loser.
