Jersey Coast Shark Anglers Kids Fishing

Getting kids out on the water is part of teaching them about a fun sport they can enjoy throughout their life. Members of the Jersey Coast Shark Anglers do this every year and devote hours to teach youngsters about proper fishing techniques. They host their annual children’s fishing tournament and picnic and show the kids a good time on and off the water.

Youth Education Award Criteria: Promoting “Hooked On Fishing Not On Drugs (HOFNOD),” Certified HOFNOD instructors, number of fishing or aquatic education events, JCAA lending library usage, and creativity for promoting youth fishing events. Submit your nominations in writing and email to or bring your nomination to the September JCAA general membership meeting.
